In some of my past posts, I’d mentioned that I didn’t like foundations as I feel like they’re very cakey and heavy on the skin. But a couple months ago my mum bought a new foundation which is the Clarins Ever Matte Foundation and of course I tried it. Instantly I noticed how light it felt on the skin.
First of all, this packaging is so sleek it was one of the first things I noticed about it. I know that people say “don’t judge a book by it’s cover” but secretly I kind of do. I honestly love everything about this packaging and it’s just so sleek.
Although this does not give a full coverage, this would probably be the one foundation that I’ve tried which does not look cakey on your skin. It has such a smooth, creamy consistency that blends in really nicely. I do have to say that this is shade ‘109 wheat’ and it does have a slight almost salmony pink tint to it which I don’t know if it’s only this shade or if it’s with all of them but it is a bit strange. But, I still love this and when you blend it out it does blend in with your skin tone. It is actually matte which is good and I like how it’s not fully matte or else obviously you would look very cakey.
Price: 3-4/5
Again with basically every other product, it depends where you are in the world. For example, in America this is $35 which is a great price for this product. In the UK it’s sold as £27.00 (currently about 43.50 USD) which is not bad but a bit more pricey. But here in New Zealand it’s sold as $64 (currently about $53 USD) which is quite pricey especially if you’re on a budget.
Coverage: 4/5
A light-medium coverage which I think is perfect. If you want a full coverage look then this would not be the product that you’re looking for.
Formula 5/5
I love this formula so much
Packaging: 5/5
A simple and sleek packaging which I am in love with. I honestly could go on about this.
Overall 4/5
This is honestly my perfect foundation so I recommend you to give this a swatch because I just freaking love it.
