March Favourites

One blink and it seems as though another month has gone by. It really is true that the older you get the shorter the year feels. I had a very busy month once again, hence why I'm not blogging as much as I would like to. But, I'm back today with a collection of my favourites of the month.

CLOTHES + BITS

Thin knitted cropped tops - I really like thin knit crop tops with high waisted shorts/jeans, whether that be singlets or tees.

Oversized cardigans - soft, oversized cardigans that feel like you're wrapping yourself up in a ginormous blanket is the best thing ever.

White tees - I've been leaning towards my white tees a lot recently. Simply tucking them into your jeans is so comfortable and effortless.

Threader earrings - I think threader earrings are so beautiful. I bought this pair from Midsummer Star which has a delicate little star and a lightning bolt.

MAKE UP STUFF

Highlighter - I have always been one for natural makeup, especially when it comes to my skin. However, I think adding a simple touch of highlighter on your cheekbones is so so pretty.

FOOD

Watermelon and lime - after trying lime with papaya for the first time on holiday, I have been obsessed with lime and fruit. Watermelon and lime is a match made in heaven.

Pancakes - when I was younger we used to have Pancake Sundays which I absolutely loved. I want to bring this back so I've been making lots of pancakes in the weekends.

Cinnamon pretzels - craving one (or three) every day.

Banana bread - the best recipe ever is this Chelsea recipe. It is so moist and absolutely delicious.

Taco spread - mexican food has always been my favourite (especially burritos), and the best part is that it is so simple to make at home. We made a taco spread the other night, with a huge array of vegetables, falafels and lemon. So good.

TV + FILMS

Riverdale - the last time I followed a tv show was probably about three years ago. I started watching Riverdale after my friend was raving about it and I have to admit I wasn't hooked straight away. But the more episodes I watched the more I enjoyed it, and now I am obsessed.

Miss Representation - this film I actually watched in class as we are looking at how women are portrayed in the media. This is probably my favourite film I've ever watched in school. It was so informative yet interesting at the same time, and sparks conversation in a relevant issue to today - how women are interpreted in the media. This is definitely one to watch!

Love - Lana Del Rey
High By The Beach - Lana Del Rey

Hazey - Glass Animals

WHAT TO DO

Cloud watching - as odd or cliche as cloud watching may sound, it is honestly one of my favourite things to do, especially when there is so much going on. Lying on a grassy field and looking up at the sky is so lovely to clear your head.

Evening walks - I never used to like the dark and avoided going out in the late evenings. However more recently I've been going out at night with friends and I seem to enjoy it more every time. There seems to be something different, more peaceful with the dark sky and the ambient lighting of the lamp posts.

Cafe chats - honestly nothing is better than sitting in a cafe for 3+ hours and having deep chats with a good friend.

Yoga - early last year me and Claud committed to going to yoga every Sunday morning but this stopped when school got very hectic. I've always loved yoga, it's just a matter of making sure I will make time for it. The other morning we went again for the first time this year and I really liked it. Now we just need to commit...

    1. Thanks so much!! I'm actually so jealous you're getting warmer weather where you live. In NZ, the seasons are actually opposite so now it's starting to get colder as winter is coming!
