I
have very very sparse brows. That is a fact. And until around about last year I
was fine as thin, sparse brows were in so I never took any notice as everyone
plucked away at their eyebrows. But around about last year everybody has been
wanting a strong brow game ever since Cara Delevigne. I don’t really like
overly crazy thick brows (apart from Cara’s/people who who naturally have naturally thick brows), but I did start to notice mine were
sparse and I do like quite nice defined brows as they frame your face. I did
quite a lot of research into the perfect brow product and came across the benefit gimme brow.
Basically
the benefit gimme brow is a “mascara” for your brows. It is a tinted gel with
small fibre hairs which really help make your brows look filled in more
realisticly. I’ve never seen or heard anything like this and I really liked the
idea. I decided to buy it when he lady behind the
counter did them for me which I loved how they looked. I just think that this
is perfect for a simple product before school as it is quick and simple to use.
Because
this is benefit, it is ofcourse more pricier than your average drugstore
sold at $22USD, but it’s not actually that big of a difference if you’re in America. I searched on benefit UK what the price in the UK is and it’s sold at £17.50 which is quite pricy but still alright. New Zealand/Australia on the other hand sells it for $41 - SO expensive (how annoying argh!). This was the reason I didn’t get this product as I thought that this was a
little crazy for such a little product. Honestly, I feel like I have used
this product so much that it has become quite a good investment. I do find it a bit more
difficult to use because my eyebrows are just naturally SO sparse that there
aren’t much hairs to groom through haha, but this is actually such a great product
as I tried it on my sister who has a good amount of brow hairs and they do look
amazing.
I
have experimented with eyebrow pencils and this tinted brow gel for the perfect
brow product, but what I found works best is eyebrow powder. But, I do like to
pop gimme brow on top to add a bit of extra hairs (sounds really strange haha).
Here are my overall ratings:
Price: 3 or 4/5 (depending on where you live)
Depending on where you live, it can either be perfect or a bit more pricey as America sells it for $22 but New Zealand/Australia sells this for $41 and the UK sells this for £17.50 - all very different prices. I do have to say that I don’t think that there is enough product for such an expensive product - especially for students.
Effect:
4/5
Can use this with or without something else. Love the fibre hairs concept.
Packaging:
5/5
I
LOVE benefit’s retro chic themed packagings
Overall:
4/5
Great
before-school product. Good if you want a fast tinted brow product.
So
here is my opinion on the benefit gimme brow. Next time you see a benefit
counter you should definitely check it out.
