I think that every once in a while we need to take a break and have some “me” time. Some people might like to do a bit of yoga if that’s your type of thing (I do quite like a little bit of yoga) but my absolute favourite thing to do ever is a Pamper Evening. So here are the steps for my perfect relaxing pamper evening.
Step
one is ofcourse to run a bath. I
quite like to light a few candles around the bath to get the whole vibe going
on. Depending on what your feeling, add in a bath bomb or a bath melt etc. I
recommend the ones from Lush (which you most likely will already know about). I personally always go for bubbles so Lush bath bombs are great. Grab a glass of water too as it may get quite steamy.
Next
step is to get into the shower and wash your hair. I love the Garnier Fructis
shampoos and conditioners and have been using them for a long time. I do not wash off the conditioner, but keep it in a
shower cap. I actually wash it off after my bath so it soaks in the conditioner and becomes extra smooth and soft.
Also,
cleanse your face. I quite like to go for a more luxurious one so instead of my
basic everyday cleanser so I’m going to be using my Clarins exfoliator (I’ve done
a post on this here). Cleansing your face is really important as the steam from
the bath opens up your pores so you want to make sure that your face is extra
clean!
When
you come out of the shower, exfoliate your body with a body scrub.
Now
go ahead and get into your bath! I quite like to watch tv shows or read
a book while I’m relaxing in there.
When
you’re ready get out of the bath and hop back into the shower to wash off all
the soapy bubbles. This is also when you wash off your conditioner and you’ll notice your hair being
extremely soft.
Now it’s time
to apply your face mask. I’ll either go for a super moisturising one or the fun
ones that are in the little packets. A moisturising mask that I’ve particulary
been enjoying is the Clarins Hydra-Quench facemask. My skin will be so soft and moisturised the day after.
After washing off the face mask I’ll just do my daily skincare routine. I first use the Clean and Clear
pimple control toner, then the moisturiser and then the pimple gel if I have
any spots. I’ll also moisturise my legs with The Body Shop body butters.
This one was limited edition in Vineyard Peach which smells heavenly.
Now is the perfect opportunity to paint your nails now. As you can see I’ve gone
for a pretty pastel pink by OPI called “Mod about you.”
Watch
your favourite film and make hot chocolate (with whipped cream and marshmallows too!) to finish off your pamper evening.
And
that is my Pamper Evening complete!
